About Afteburn

What is Afterburn?

Afterburn was born in 2023 as a concept organized by a group of enthusiasts inspired by Burning Man — its principles, energy, and vibes.

That allows us to relive the emotions and events help culture and important principles become more closely intertwined with everyday life, and recreate an atmosphere of creativity, self-expression, and inspiration for a few more days.

It turned out so well that in 2025 we invite not only camp members to join us, but also all our friends who share the values and 10 principles.

What is Kalimera?
Whether it’s your soft landing after the playa or your first-ever dive into this culture — Kalimera is your space to express yourself, bring your art, your music, your magic.

We’re not creating a festival in the usual sense. We’re building a space for free ideas, radical self-expression, and shared freedom — together with everyone who takes part.
Kalimera — a word that simply meant “good morning” — suddenly turned out to be prophetic.

In these past days, months, and years, we’ve seen so many shattering events, one after another. It’s as if the world itself went through a long night — and now, here comes our sunrise — Kalimera.

There’s a new dot on the Burning Man map – and not just in a geographical sense. Something deeper is happening. Cyprus seems to be a place of rebirth. A place where the spirit of Burning Man, covered in dust, begins to come alive. A place where people from different countries find each other. Like a flower, even after a fire, find a way to bloom again.

The name became a magnet. Meanings, people, energies started to gravitate toward it. At first — by chance. But then — far too precisely to still call it chance.

And now Kalimera is no longer just an event. It’s a sign. A symbol. A beginning. For all those who believe that when something ends, it’s simply time to create something new.

After every night comes a sunrise. After every loss — a chance to begin again ☀️
We’ll be here — waiting for you
Far from the desert, close to each other
